Byrne Welcomes New Baldwin County Commissioner Chris Elliott

Congressman  Bradley Byrne (AL-1) today congratulated new Baldwin County District 2 Commissioner Chris Elliott and thanked former Commissioner Bob James for his dedicated service.

Chris Elliott was appointed today by Governor Robert Bentley to finish out the term of Commissioner Bob James, who resigned on Thursday. Elliott won the Republican nomination on Tuesday to serve a complete four year term. Elliott is unopposed in the general election.

Byrne said: “I want to congratulate Chris Elliott on his victory Tuesday night, and I know I join many others in welcoming him to the Baldwin County Commission. I have gotten to know Chris over the years through church and various other civic organizations, and I consider him a dear friend. I look forward to working with Commissioner Elliott and the other members of the Baldwin County Commission as we advance our common goals.

“I also want to thank Bob James for his years of public service and leadership on the Baldwin County Commission. I wish him all the best in whatever path he chooses to take next.”
