Byrne Statement on Secretary of the Navy Nomination

Congressman Bradley Byrne (R-AL), a member of the House Armed Services Committee and leader on seapower issues, released the following statement regarding President Donald Trump’s decision to nominate Philip Bilden to serve as Secretary of the Navy.

Byrne said: “I congratulate Mr. Bilden on his nomination. This is an exciting time for the U.S. Navy as we focus on building the fleet and providing our Sailors and Marines with the resources they need to keep us safe. I look forward to working with Mr. Bilden to upgrade our Navy in an effort to keep sea lanes open for commerce, deter bad actors, and project strength across the globe.”
