Byrne: Blocking of Persuader Rule a Win for American Workers
addthis
Congressman Bradley Byrne (R-AL), a member of the House Education and the Workforce Committee, issued the following statement in response to a federal judge issuing a permanent injunction against the Department of Labor’s “persuader” rule.
Byrne said: “Today’s ruling is a win for American workers, who would have seen their access to important information greatly reduced. All along, this rule was nothing more than an effort to tilt the scales even further toward Big Labor bosses through administrative decree, and I am pleased the rule has been permanently blocked.”
Byrne led the charge in Congress against the “persuader” rule. He introduced House Joint Resolution 87, which would have blocked the rule through the Congressional Review Act process. The Education and the Workforce Committee approved Rep. Byrne’s legislation on May 18th. Click here to learn more about the “persuader” rule.
