Congressman Bradley Byrne issued the following statement in response to Pope Francis’s speech to a joint session of Congress.

Byrne said: “As one of the most influential moral leaders in the world, it was an honor to welcome Pope Francis to the Capitol for today’s historic address.

I have proudly called Southwest Alabama home for my entire life, but I don’t know that I have ever felt as much pride for our area as I did last week while standing on the stage at the grand opening ceremony for the new Airbus Manufacturing Facility in Mobile.
